preferably in the future, he reminds himself. he tries to ignore everything else he hears from hotaru and others who maybe passing by as his mind begins to pick up the past, the present, and the future of the subject he's focusing on. ]

She tells Daisy what a good and pretty dog she is in hushed whispers because she wants to disturb Roderic as little as possible. Whatever listening is or however Roderic listens, being noisy probably won't help.
Mistress 9's past will be a lot of static or absolute silence and then a broken man crying that he'll do anything to save his daughter, anything. Present will be filled with labored breathing and harsh utterances of "I need more pure hearts." There's be a lot of shrill, high pitched giggles, mocking laughter, taunting of Hotaru being discarded. Voices argue back that Hotaru is better than that, better than her. A cutting declaration full of conviction: "Master Pharaoh 90 will bring silence to this world." The future is filled with a much weaker voice, frustrated muttering, angry shrieks. "You will not get rid of me, you pests!" ]
